Notifications
KronChat keeps you informed about activity that needs your attention through a real-time notification system.
Notification Types
| Notification | When it appears |
|---|---|
| New Conversation | A conversation is assigned to you |
| New Message | A customer replies to your conversation |
| Mention | A teammate @mentions you in a note |
| Assignment | A conversation is assigned or reassigned to you |
| Team Assignment | A conversation is assigned to your team |
Notification Bell
The bell icon at the top of the sidebar shows a badge count of unread notifications. Click it to:
- See all recent notifications
- Click any notification to jump directly to that conversation
- Mark all as read
Notification Preferences
- Click your profile avatar (bottom left of the sidebar)
- Go to Notifications
- Enable or disable each type for In-app, Email, or Push (browser desktop alerts)
Search
KronChat's global search finds any conversation, contact, or help article instantly.
How to Search
Click the Search bar at the top of the left sidebar, or press Ctrl+K (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+K (Mac) from anywhere in KronChat.
What You Can Search
| Type | Search by |
|---|---|
| Conversations | Customer name, message content, conversation ID |
| Contacts | Name, email address, phone number |
| Help Articles | Any word in the article title or body |
Search Tips
- Search is full-text — any word that appears in a message is searchable
- Results are grouped by type (Conversations, Contacts, Articles) so you can navigate quickly
- Use arrow keys to move through results and Enter to open
